At Business Cares, we believe in empowering individuals to create their own success stories. Our Microloan Fund is designed to help hardworking people from lower economic backgrounds who need a slight boost to realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

We don’t just give a fish—we teach how to fish for a lifetime.

While microlending has transformed lives in many countries worldwide, there remains a significant gap in these services in the United States. Business Cares is stepping up to fill this void by creating a sustainable fund that will help one entrepreneur at a time build a better future for themselves and their families.

How It Works

1. We raise a fund through generous donations from people like you
2. We provide microloans (typically under $10,000) to entrepreneurs who need a kickstart
3. We offer mentorship with business professionals, meeting twice monthly
4. Loan repayments return to the fund to help the next entrepreneur
5. We create a cycle of opportunity that keeps giving

Meet Our First Recipient: Rodrigo Torres

Rodrigo, a dedicated single father of a 9-month-old daughter, is the first recipient of a Business Cares microloan. With remarkable determination and entrepreneurial spirit, he has established a small business that needs additional capital for sustainability and growth. The operating funds he had built over the past two years were stolen at gunpoint, and Business Cares will replace this capital to ensure the continued success of his business in Concord, California.

The $20,000 loan will fund marketing and advertising campaigns to increase Rodrigo’s client base and promote their vehicles for sale. Over the past two years, he has consistently served an average of eight clients monthly, selling their cars and earning enough to sustain his business and support his family. This track record demonstrates his ability to repay the three-year loan. Once repaid, these funds will support another deserving entrepreneur. Rodrigo’s selection as the inaugural recipient reflects his proven business acumen and his success in previously accumulating a similar amount of operating capital.

The Impact of Your Donation

Loan Program Details

● Interest rate of 9% or less
● Interest-only payments for the first year
● Loan terms up to 6 years
● Maximum loan amount of $30,000 (most will be under $10,000)
● Comprehensive mentorship program with bi-monthly meetings
● Access to professional business advisors in accounting, marketing, and other fields
